Stealing the Diamond - A review!
Sneak in? Or bust in? I chose to sneak in, revealing even more options to choose from. I chose the anti-gravity cap, and failed by flying out into space. The game reassures me that, "You're lucky! I've always wanted to go to space!" I try the pick, granting me access to the inside of the museum. Then there are more options on how I should finish out my ingenious heist. Every path leads to new and/or exciting failures and victories. There are 3 ways to finish (that I know of), and the first time you play, you just want to finish. Any time after that, you just want to watch how many creative ways you can fail.
At first impression, Stealing the Diamond seemed kind of boring, with its first "sequence" of pushing a button to decide the fate of where and how you are going to enter a museum to steal a diamond. You can either take the sneaky way in, or you can charge in, moter scooter blazing, through the front door. Either way you take, leads to many humorous endings and a final victorious get-away, where you obtain the twelve million dollar diamond you are after. The stickman game itself contains multiple references to various video games, such as Portal, Grand Theft Auto, and F-Zero, and too many other games to even list. The jokes are almost never dry, and pop culture and video game references are humorous, and numorous. The game has limited replay value after you finish the game going all three winning ways (Sneaky, aggressive, and epic), but you can always look for hidden references, the plentiful (and humorous) ways to fail, and the comments on your numerous failures. Overall, Stealing the Diamond is a fun, entertaining, and hilarious game which I would highly reccomend to almost anyone with a sense of humor, and anyone who is looking to kill some time (and have fun wasting it).
